This collection of 10 images is part of a larger series called “Night Creatures” based on nighttime images captured by game cameras around our home on Rainbow Mountain in Montreat, North Carolina. All images were created using a combination of hand-drawn sketches and Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop. They are printed on Epson Hot Press Natural paper using archival ink and framed with archival framing components. My goals with this series are to raise awareness about the animals living in North Carolina, educate the public about the important roles these creatures play in its cove forest ecosystem, and inspire a sense of wonder at the beauty and diversity of our Appalachian wildlife.
