Cary will be hosting a CDBG Plan Preparation public input opportunity on March 3 from 4-7 p.m. at the Herb Young Community Center in the Eagle Room.

Every year, Cary prepares an Annual Action Plan, which proposes how the Town will implement community goals with federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and local funding for the coming fiscal year. Cary will prepare a draft 2026-2027 Annual Action Plan proposing awards to organizations that have applied for funding to carry out programs aligned with the key initiative areas of new housing development, housing rehabilitation, and housing stability support services.

However, before that Plan is drafted, staff will host a CDBG Plan Preparation public input opportunity on March 3, 2026. During this meeting, staff will provide information on community goals and welcome public comment to guide the investment of this critical housing funding. Staff will consider comments when drafting 2026-2027 Annual Action Plan. The draft 2026-2027 Plan will be released for public comment in late March.
