Gustav Holst's Hammersmith anchors this classic wind-band work in vivid memories of a colorful British town on the Thames river while Luis Serrano Alarcon's Invocación transforms an earlier piano work by Isaac Albéniz into a fiery Latin ritual dance. The concert suite Deliverance by Etienne Crausaz is a cinematic combination of the opposite qualities of lightheartedness and grandiosity.
