- The annual Jaycees Christmas Parade continues in Cary on Saturday, December 9 at 2 p.m.
- The parade will follow its traditional route, heading west on E Chatham Street from Ward Street to south on Academy Street and ending at the Cary Arts Center, 101 Dry Ave.
- In support of the Christmas Parade on December 9, the streets for the Christmas Parade will close between 1 and 1:15 p.m. The parade starts at 2 p.m. and should be done no later than 4 p.m. with the anticipation of all roads being re-opened by 4:30 p.m.
Cary, N.C. – The annual Jaycees Christmas Parade is returning to Downtown Cary with over 100 floats, including steppers, skippers, twirlers, dancers, local bands and celebrities, and Santa Claus. In support of the Christmas Parade on December 9, the Town of Cary will close the following streets from 1 - 4:30 p.m.:
- The street closures include E. Chatham St. from the traffic circle at E. Chatham and Circle, all the way to E. Chatham St. at Academy St. This will include all streets and parking lots in between.
- Academy St. will be closed from E. Chatham St. to Dry Ave. and Kildaire Farm Rd. This includes all streets and parking lots in between.
- Dry Ave. will be closed at S. Harrison Ave.
- Faculty Ave. will be closed at S. Harrison Ave.
- E. Chatham St. at S. Harrison will also be closed to traffic.
