Cary, N.C. – Citizens interested in participating in what happens in Cary can apply now through June 30 to serve on a Cary Council-appointed board, committee, or commission. In their role as board members, citizens review various topics to assist Council in making informed decisions and formulating policy. Cary’s boards, committee, and commission include:
- Economic Development Committee
- Environmental Advisory Board
- Historic Preservation Commission
- Human Relations, Inclusions, & Diversity Advisory Board
- Information Services Advisory Board
- Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Advisory Board
- Planning & Zoning Board
- Public Art Advisory Board
- Senior Advisory Board
- Zoning Board of Adjustment
Applications are accepted through June 30 and can be completed online; appointments and terms begin this fall. Most appointments are for three-year terms.
