- Cary Town Hall and most staffed facilities will be closed Tuesday through Thursday, December 24 to December 26, for the Christmas Holiday, and January 1 for New Year’s Day.
- Cary curbside collection will be delayed by one day for Wednesday and Thursday routes for the week of Christmas and the week of New Year’s Day. Monday and Tuesday routes will not change. The Citizen’s Convenience Center will be open 8 a.m.-1 p.m. on December 24 and will be closed December 25 and January 1.
- GoCary will not operate fixed routes or door-to-door services on Christmas Day. Fixed Route Service will run Sunday Schedule and Door to Door service will be Tier 1 only on New Year’s Day.
Cary, N.C. – Cary Town Hall and most staffed facilities, including community centers, recreation facilities, and cultural arts facilities, will be closed Tuesday through Thursday, December 24 to December 26 for Christmas and January 1 for New Year’s Day. Curbside collection will move one day forward for the week of Christmas and New Year’s Day for Wednesday and Thursday collection days only. GoCary will not operate fixed routes or door-to-door services on Christmas Day and will operate on Tier 1 only service on New Year’s Day. Cary 311 will be closed for calls from December 24 to December 26, and January 1. Prior to visiting a Town facility, citizens should check carync.gov/facilities for any additional operational changes.
Like other Cary parks and Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve, Downtown Cary Park remains open daily through the holidays. Downtown Cary Park Guest Services, Market 317, and the Bark Bar will close from December 24 to December 26, and January 1. The Bark Bar will close early at 6 p.m. on December 31. Citizens wanting to take in the decorations are reminded of parking opportunities throughout Downtown Cary at carync.gov/parking and to consider riding GoCary’s Downtown Loop Thursday-Sunday.
While outdoor courts will remain open daily, the Cary Tennis Park Clubhouse will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day, with limited hours on December 24, 26, and 31. To see the Cary Tennis Park’s full holiday schedule, please visit carync.gov/tennis.
Celebrate the season at Cary’s Koka Booth Amphitheater at the Chinese Lantern Festival, running nightly until January 12 except for on Christmas Day. Ticket availability and daily event schedule can be found at boothamphitheatre.com.
When disposing of natural Christmas trees and decorations, remove all decorations and lights prior to placing them curbside on your collection day. Citizens wishing to offload artificial trees or decorations should consider donating them for local reuse before opting to make a bulky collection request at carync.gov/311.
