CARY, N.C. (March 11, 2025) – Following last year’s record-breaking success, the PPA Tour’s North Carolina Open is set to bring thousands of fans and top-ranked professional talent to Cary Tennis Park once again from April 1-6, 2025. This year’s lineup includes world #1 female player Anna Leigh Waters, world #1 male player Ben Johns, Jack Sock, Genie Bouchard, and Tyson McGuffin—all competing at one of the most anticipated stops on the tour.
“We’re thrilled to welcome the PPA Tour back to Cary, solidifying our town as the East Coast’s go-to venue for professional pickleball,” said Cary Mayor Harold Weinbrecht. “Last year’s event was one of the highest-grossing and best-attended on the tour, proving that Cary’s energy, hospitality, and premier facilities make it the perfect stage for the fastest-growing sport’s biggest moments.”
Amateur registration is now open through March 28, offering players the rare opportunity to compete on the same courts as the pros and experience the intensity of a professional tournament. Spots are limited, and event organizers are encouraging early registration.
"The North Carolina Open has become one of the biggest highlights on our calendar," said Connor Pardoe, Founder & CEO of the PPA Tour. "The energy and excitement from the people in Cary is unmistakable and makes playing there a real joy. Amateur players in North Carolina have the incredible opportunity to compete for medals while brushing shoulders with the best pro players in the world. Imagine playing baseball alongside Corey Seager or basketball with [Michael] Jordan. In no other sport can you have this kind of experience and we are honored to be able to offer it."
For fans looking to experience one of the PPA Tour’s most exciting stops, tickets for professional matches are available now through Tixr.
Year-round, Cary venues host premier sporting events and organizations, including those at the USA Baseball National Training Complex, NCAA soccer national championships at WakeMed Soccer Park, professional tennis tournaments at Cary Tennis Park, and training camps for the U.S. Olympic Swimming Team at the Triangle Aquatic Center.
