Cary, NC – The 2024 Annual Water Quality Report is now available online at carync.gov/waterreport. This annual report provides detailed information about Cary’s drinking water quality, treatment processes, testing results, and ongoing efforts to maintain a safe, reliable, high-quality water supply.
In 2024, Cary produced more than 8.4 billion gallons of drinking water that met or exceeded all federal and state regulatory standards. The report also highlights key initiatives from the past year, including Cary’s Water Meter Replacement Program, proactive testing for emerging contaminants like PFAS and 1,4-dioxane, and the completion of a comprehensive service line inventory confirming the absence of lead service lines in Cary’s water system.
