CARY, N.C. — The Town of Cary is holding a Special Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, July 22, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Cary Town Hall Council Chambers. This interactive event, hosted by the Cary Town Council, is open to the public with a focus on community updates and civic engagement.

“On behalf of my fellow Councilmembers, I’m excited to invite the Cary community to join us at what’s sure to be a lively, engaging, and educational time,” said Cary Mayor Harold Weinbrecht. “This is a great opportunity for everyone to come together, ask questions, and have their voices heard.”

Attendees are encouraged to RSVP and submit questions in advance through Cary’s 311 portal at carync.gov/311 or by texting TXT311 (898-311). Questions will also be collected live throughout the evening.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and light refreshments will be served. To help make the event family-friendly, activity packets with coloring sheets, toys, and snacks will be available to children.

The evening kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with a welcome from Council, followed by a fun and interactive Cary trivia session. Councilmembers will then share updates on high-interest topics and Town Manager Sean Stegall will provide an overview of how local government works, including budgeting and funding sources.

The evening will conclude with a live Q&A session answering citizens’ questions. Any questions not addressed during Q&A will receive responses after the event.

Attendees will also be invited to complete a short survey to help shape future events and town halls.

The regularly scheduled Council meeting on Thursday, July 24, will occur as planned.
