Cary, NC – Town Hall and most staffed facilities will be closed on Monday, January 19, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. For the week of January 19, curbside collections will be delayed by one day, and the Citizen’s Convenience Center will be closed on Monday. GoCary will operate fixed-route service on a Sunday schedule and door-to-door service on Tier 1 only. Cary 311 will be closed for calls on Monday; citizens can submit non-emergency requests online 24/7 at carync.gov/311.
Like other Cary parks, Downtown Cary Park remains open daily, as well as Downtown Cary Park Guest Services, The Bark Bar, and Market 317. Cary Action Sports, The Cary Theater, Stevens Nature Center, and all Cary Community Centers will be closed on January 19. Cary Tennis Park and Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve will be open during regular hours of operation.
All residents are invited to Cary’s annual Dreamfest weekend events, a celebration of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., from January 16-19. Most events are free to attend and open to the public. Descriptions and details are available at carync.gov/dreamfest.
