Cary, NC - When School’s Out in Cary, the fun is in! Registration for summer camps begins at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, for Cary residents and on Wednesday, March 18, for nonresidents. Search and register for camps in RecTrac, which can be accessed at carync.gov/register. This summer, parents can take advantage of traditional, full-day camps at community centers, and kids can sample a variety of new activities in half-day camps. For maximum fun, pair two half-day camps with lunch coverage to create a full-day schedule. Activity topics include sports, nature, STEM, sewing, crafting, and performing arts, plus specialty camps featuring chess, bluegrass instruments, and cooking.
Cary’s Play it Forward Scholarship helps ensure that cost is not a barrier to participation by providing eligible residents with discounted access to camps, classes, and programs offered through Cary’s Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department. Open to Cary residents only, applications are reviewed by NeighborUp and can be submitted online or in person. Funded in part through community donations, the program plays a vital role in expanding access to enriching recreational opportunities and supporting a more inclusive, active Cary for all. Donations are accepted year-round and can be made in person at any Cary community center or online through RecTrac.
Printed School’s Out program guides are available at Cary community centers and cultural arts facilities, Cary Town Hall, and select grocery stores across Cary. For more and to browse the online version, visit carync.gov/register.
