Powers and Duties
The Greenway Committee serves as an advisory body to the PRCR Advisory Board and advises the Transportation and Facilities Department regarding greenway projects, issues, and policies. In addition, the committee assists staff in educating the public about Cary’s greenway program.
Membership
The Greenway Committee consists of eleven members in addition to the chairperson, one of which will be a Teen Council member. Members are appointed from within Cary's corporate limits. All appointments to the committee are for three-year terms, except where unexpired terms are being filled.
Meetings
The committee meets monthly at 6:00 p.m., typically in Conference Room #11130, 316 N. Academy St., Cary, and requires approximately 2 hours per month for meetings. Members may also be expected to volunteer time at major festivals and events, attend public meetings, and regularly visit parks and greenways.
All committee meetings are open to the public. Visit the Town's Web calendar to confirm meeting dates, times, and locations.
