Each year during municipal elections, Cary hosts a recorded forum for candidates running for Town Council. The 2025 forum includes candidates in the 2025 Cary Municipal Election taking place on November 4.

Goals of the Forum

Cary aims to promote fair, professional, dignified, and respectful dissemination of relevant information about candidates. We also aim to ensure equal opportunity and access to Cary’s cable and YouTube channels for discussing a wide variety of topics.

Benefits of this Forum Method

• Provide a better product and more convenience for viewers
• Lessen the amount of time that candidates and Cary staff spend at forums
• Reduce potential bias by outside forum sponsors
• Increase community focus and involvement
• Avoid the issue of endorsements
