Overview
As part of Cary’s ongoing efforts to maintain safe and reliable transportation, two bridge repair projects are scheduled:
• Lochmere Drive Bridge – located near the Lake Park boat ramp in the Lochmere neighborhood.
• Weston Parkway Bridges – located where Weston Parkway crosses over Black Creek Greenway.
Lochmere Drive Bridge
This project will involve minor concrete repairs to extend the life of the bridge. The bridge crosses the lake spillway and is an important connector for neighborhood traffic.
Construction timeline: Late-September 2025 to early October 2025
Traffic impacts: Flagging operations during work hours will guide traffic safely through the area.
Weston Parkway Bridges
Repairs will be made to the bridge decks and supports to prevent water infiltration and maintain long-term reliability. This work is being coordinated with the Black Creek Greenway renovations to help reduce impacts to greenway users.
Construction timeline: Work begins this fall and is expected to be completed in early 2026 (weather dependent).
Traffic impacts:
• Lane closures and detours will be required.
• Two-way traffic will be maintained, but shifted to either the eastbound or westbound lanes depending on the phase.
• Detour maps will be posted here once available.
