Project Background

Fiscal year 2026 marks the 7th year Cary entered into a funding agreement with Wake County as it relates to fiscal support of capital maintenance items at the Cary Tennis Park.  This agreement between Cary and Wake County provides a 20-year capital maintenance plan.

Budgeting began in fiscal year 2024 with court resurfacing identified on the capital maintenance plan. 

Cary advertised a Request For Qualifications package in November 2024 to select a design firm to begin drafting plans to changeover existing asphalt tennis courts to post-tension concrete.

Project Schedule

• Spring 2025: Cary entered into an agreement with Frank Land Designs to begin design - In Progress
• Summer 2026: Estimated timeframe to complete design
• Fall 2026: Estimated Construction
