Home MenuConnected Vehicles
Connected vehicle technologies are communication equipment and applications that are integrated into vehicles and infrastructure, allowing them to share information for improved safety and efficiency on our roads. Typically, connected vehicle infrastructure devices communicate to other nearby devices to share information that allows the vehicle or user to avoid hazards. An example from Cary's connected vehicle network is in school zones, where the flashing beacons are able to communicate to smartphones and other devices and alert that the school zone is active.
