This map shows which streets are maintained by the North Carolina Department of Transportation. NCDOT maintains most of the major thoroughfares within Cary’s town limits, meaning they are responsible for street maintenance including pothole repair and street repaving. Potholes on NCDOT-maintained streets can be reported here.

The Town of Cary collaborates with the NCDOT to get the most up-to-date information regarding the NCDOT's street repaving plans in Cary. The list below includes the most recent update we have received from the NCDOT.

NCDOT 2025 - Repaving of these streets is scheduled to start June 29

  • Lake Dam Road -  Tryon Road to I-40 Bridge
  • Dillard Drive - Walnut Street to Piney Plains Road
  • Trinity Road - East Chatham Street to NC 54
  • Jenks Carpenter Road - Holt Road to Collins Road/Waldo Rood
  • Piney Plains Road - Piney Plains Road to Stephens Road
  • Old Jenks Road - Holt Road to N Salem Street
  • Wimberly Road - Green Level West Road to Jenks Road
  • Castleberry Road - Dead End to Wimberly Road
  • Wilson Road - near Flip Trail
