Solina: Dragonfly
As part of our 50th Lazy Daze celebration, we’re bringing back Solina: Dragonfly, a whimsical interactive sculpture by environmental sculptor and community artist Michael Roy Layne of Legacyworks. This returning festival favorite will feature special anniversary enhancements including lights, gentle ringing bells, and dragonfly-themed craft activities for children. Stop by to explore the installation, snap a photo, and create your own dragonfly-inspired keepsake.

Discover the ACCESS the Arts Artist Market at the 2026 Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival! This festival feature shines a spotlight on the creativity, talent, and artistic expression of North Carolina artists with disabilities. Featuring 10 talented artists, this indoor festival experience celebrates disability-led artistry while creating opportunities for artists to share their work and connect with the community. Visitors are invited to explore unique artwork, support local artists with disabilities, and experience the impact of accessible and inclusive arts in the Town of Cary.

Hear ye, hear ye! 2026 marks John Webster's 22nd year as Cary's Town Crier!

Cary's official Town Crier, John Webster, and his wife, Mary Webster, will be at Lazy Daze this year making announcements, greeting patrons, and adding fun to the day! The Websters hail from Markham, Ontario, Canada, a sister city for Cary. You'll be able to pick them out from the crowd because they come fully dressed in Town Crier regalia, and you can't miss the sound of the bell! 

Make sure to keep those eyes and ears open around 1 p.m. on Saturday as the Town Crier travels through the Festival to announce the Jerry Miller Award Winning Artists! 

For nearly half a century, the Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival has welcomed guests from all over to the heart of downtown Cary, NC for two days filled with art, entertainment, food, and making memories. Stroll down memory lane as we look through 50 years of the Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival!
