This annual sale is a multi-week event that provides an opportunity to purchase compost bins, rain barrels, and related accessories at below-wholesale cost. The sale is conducted entirely online through the company Enviro World and Cary does not generate any revenue from the sale.

All purchased items are shipped in bulk to Cary and distributed during scheduled pick-up windows from a Cary facility.

All purchases through this sale are made directly through the company Enviro World. As a result, any refunds or manufacturer defects should be handled through Enviro World.

Cary is committed to supporting residential composting in accordance with community ordinances that promote safe, effective, and community-conscious practices. For more information, refer to the Town Code of Ordinances on Health and Sanitation Section 18-10 regarding composting.

Check your HOA or neighborhood covenants, when applicable, regarding compost bins and/or rain barrel restrictions.

If this is inaccurate, out-of-date, or not checked often, you will not receive our communications promptly and your order pick-up may be delayed or canceled without refund.

After the sale has closed, you will receive an email with information about picking up your purchased items from a Cary facility during a scheduled pick-up window. This will take place around late May until early June.

If you have not received an email about the pick-up schedule by May 15, please check your spam or junk folders on the email address associated with your PayPal account, or contact us.

PICK UP HAS CONCLUDED for 2025.

If we are not able to reach you by email by June 30 with confirmation that you will pick up your purchased items, they may be turned over to the N.C. State Surplus Property Agency or a local non-profit organization.

If you purchased items through the online sale, you will receive a confirmation email shortly after the sale closes on May 10. This email will contain instructions about how and where to pick up your purchased items.

You will be able to pick up your items during scheduled self-service pick-up windows at a Town facility. Compost bins and rain barrels can typically fit in the backseat of a standard sedan. Please do not arrive with pets or small children in the vehicle if possible, in order to make loading as easy as possible.

No, compost bins are only available in black and rain barrels are only available in white through this sale. This allows for more efficient distribution. We appreciate your understanding.
