All food trucks interested in participating in Cary-sponsored events and festivals must complete a pre-approval process before being considered for individual event opportunities.

This process helps us:

• Ensure consistency and compliance with all vendor rules and regulations
• Streamline communication and documentation for all vendors
• Create a more efficient process for our events and festivals

How the Pre-Approval Process Works

• You must have a Cary RecTrac account and be logged in to complete the form.

• Don’t have a RecTrac account? Create one HERE.

• Submit required documentation, including current insurance certificates, and menu.
•  To avoid delays in approval, please be sure your COI’s meet ALL Cary requirements. (Example HERE)

Step 3: Acknowledge and Sign the Food Vendor Agreement Form

• This agreement form must be renewed annually.

Step 4: Staff Review and Approval

• Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by PRCR staff.
• Upon approval, your business will be added to the PRCR Food Truck Vendor List for one calendar year.
• Vendors are notified of approval within 2-6 business days.

 Step 5: Event Opportunities

• Approved vendors will be notified of upcoming opportunities as they become available.
• Please note: Completion of the pre-approval process does not guarantee participation in any specific events or festivals.

NOTE: Food trucks may not be operated on public property such as parks or plazas, parking lots, public street rights-of-way, or public sidewalks except as specifically authorized by the Town and as part of an official public event sponsored or co-sponsored by the Town of Cary.
