General Reservation Information

The Town of Cary has lighted baseball/softball fields of various sizes available for reservation when not programmed for use with Town leagues/activities. Fields may be reserved by groups or individuals from March through mid-November. Please note that field availability is very limited from April through June due to Town league practices and games.

Reservation requests must be submitted at least 3 business days in advance, and requested dates cannot be more than 7 days in advance.

Exception: Individuals or groups with a confirmed picnic shelter reservation at Kiwanis Shelter (Bond 1), Buehler Shelter (Bond 4), or Rotary Shelter (Ritter 1) may reserve the field associated with that picnic shelter up to 3 months in advance if the field is not in use for town programming.

Inclement Weather/Cancellation Policy

Inclement Weather

The Town will determine if fields are playable. Groups/individuals should visit games.townofcary.org or call (919) 319-4500 before going to the field. Do not use the field if it has been closed by the Town. Weekday updates are made by noon for reservations prior to 5 p.m. and by 3 p.m. for reservations at 5 p.m. or later. Updates are made by 8 a.m. on Saturdays and by noon on Sundays.

If your reservation is canceled by the Town, you may try to reschedule if space is available or receive a full refund.

Cancellation Policy

Ball field reservations must be canceled at least five business days prior to the reservation date to be eligible for a refund or credit.

Submit a Reservation Request

To make a ballfield reservation, follow the instructions below:

Reservation requests must be submitted a minimum of three business days in advance and the date requested cannot be more than seven days in advance.
Review the baseball/softball field reservation guidelines, reservation rates, and inclement weather/cancellation policy.
You will need a RecTrac account to make payment for your reservation. If you do not already have an account set up, please complete that step prior to submitting a reservation request.

Cary baseball/softball fields will be closed for reservations Nov 16-Feb 28 for maintenance and turf recovery.
