The Boathouse has boat rentals for all ages and abilities, including pedal boats, kayaks, and canoes. We supply all life preservers with the boat rental. No experience is necessary for most rentals (except sailboats).

We also offer a wide range of classes, including sailing, kayaking, and canoeing lessons for all ages.

You can also find bait, cane poles, snacks, ice cream, snow cones, drinks, and more -- all for sale at the beautiful Boathouse nestled among the pines on the waterfront of Bond Lake. Enjoy a nice snack break on the screened porch or stop for essentials before you head out on the lake.

Boating Information

Boat rentals are first come, first served. Boats may not be reserved in advance.
Dogs are not allowed on rental boats.
Renters must be 18 or older to sign the liability waiver for boat rentals.
By signing the waiver you are assuming responsibility for all persons in your party.
You must be 16 or older to be in a boat without a parent or guardian, however, a parent or legal guardian must sign the waiver.
A life jacket must be worn at all times. Life vests are available in all sizes infant through adult.
No lifeguard on duty.
You must have sailing experience to rent a sailboat.
Last rentals are 60 minutes prior to closing (30 minutes for pedal boats).
All boats must be back by posted closing time.
You may launch your own vessel on Bond Lake with a current season launch pass.

Sailing experience required. If you do not have sailing experience we offer classes. To see current classes visit carync.gov/register

Sunfish rentals are limited and are not available during classes.

Private Boat Launch

Guidelines

Boat less than 16'
Life vests must always be worn on the lake.
No gas powered boats allowed.
All vehicles and boats need to be out of the Park prior to closing. A vessel without a season launch sticker can only be launched when the Boathouse is open.

Daily Launch Fee

Available for purchase in person at the boathouse.
$4 / boat

Annual Launch Pass

Valid February 1 - November 30 of the year indicated on the sticker.
- The lake is closed December and January.
Resident: $30 / boat
Non Resident: $ 40 / boat

Bond Park Boathouse also offers group lessons in canoeing and kayaking, along with group rentals of boats during non-operation hours. Additionally we offer a range of outdoor education for schools and youth groups
