Glass Studio Membership:
We offer a Glass Studio Membership pass for Patrons who qualify to purchase one. This Glass Studio Membership allows Patrons to come and use the Glass Studio during scheduled Open Studio Hours. During these hours, Patrons may work on personal projects such as Fused glass projects or Stained glass projects depending on which classes they have taken at the Cary Arts Center. There will be an instructor on hand to monitor the studio and provide help when needed.
To Qualify for a Glass Studio Membership:
To qualify for a membership pass in the Glass Studio, patrons must first successfully complete a multi-week Beginning class in the Glass Studio at the Cary Arts Center within the last year. We offer two types of Beginning glass classes that qualify patrons for a Glass Studio Membership:
Fusing 101 (STUD0025)- This class will give you the skills and confidence to turn raw, compatible glass into beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces. You will learn essential techniques and safety processes to make decorative and functional glass art!
Successful completion of this class will qualify a patron to purchase an Open Studio pass and work on Fused glass projects during open studio hours.
Stained Glass: Copper Foil Method (STUD0062)- Create vivid stained glass projects using the copper foil method. Learn how to select and cut glass, transfer patterns, and grind frit. You’ll also practice wrapping pieces in copper foil, then soldering and framing your finished work.
Successful completion of this class will qualify a patron to purchase an Open Studio pass and work on Stained glass projects during open studio hours.
*We do not currently offer youth passes for the Glass Studio.*
