JTT  

Spring 2026 Information 

Junior Team Tennis (JTT) is a USTA junior league program that offers practice and match play. Players should be able to serve, rally and keep score.  This program is not for new players!  

Important Spring Dates

  • Registration opens Thursday, January 29

  • Registration closes Friday, February 27 

  • Parent Meetings (virtual) Sunday, March 1 & Monday, March 2 (attend one)

  • Practices starts the week of March 2 

  • Matches start Friday, April 10

Pricing 

  • Resident: $135 (not including $21 USTA team registration) 

  • Nonresident: $155 (not including $21 USTA team registration) 

Registration in TennisLink Required: There is an additional $18 league registration fee required by USTA (plus $3 processing fee). Payment will be made through the USTA website TennisLink.  Additional information and instructions will be provided.  A USTA junior membership is required.

USTA Membership 

A USTA membership is required for JTT participation. All junior memberships are FREE! Family memberships do not apply to the free junior membership. 

Practice Information

  • Practices begin the week of March 2. There will be 8 practices.

  • No Practices March 30 - April 3

  • Practices are scheduled to end the week of April 27

  • Practice rain outs will be added to the end of the season.

  • Your child may only attend their registered practice day and time. No make-ups or credits will be given for personal reasons. 

  • Due to court limitations, practice spaces are limited. Only register your child for ONE practice time.  Should space allow, we will email everyone if we have the space for players to register for a second practice. 

  • 10u, 12u, and 14/18u practices are 60 minutes and held at Annie Jones Park.

  • 8u practices are 60 minutes and held at Cary Tennis Park. 

Match Information 

All Divisions

  • The season consists of six matches.

  • Match schedule will be posted on Tennislink around March 16th.  Around that same time, team assignments will be released online via email. 

  • All participants are required to register for their team in TennisLink. Those who do not register will not be eligible to participate in matches.

  • Matches start April 10th and run through May 22nd.

  • You may NOT request a specific match time. 

  • Match attendance is expected.  Players who do not attend matches regularly may be demoted to the Recreational division. 

  • Matches canceled due to weather will be added to the end of the season.

10u, 12u, and 14/18u Divisions

  • Matches will be scheduled on Fridays with start times between 5:30 pm and 7:00 p.m.  

  • All matches are 90 minutes long. 

  • Most teams will play HOME and AWAY matches.  Home matches will be at Town of Cary facilities.  Away matches can be at any of the local clubs listed under Match Locations. 

8u Division

  • Matches are 60 mins long and will be scheduled on Fridays with start times of 5:30pm or 6:30pm. 

  • No matches on April 17.

  • All 8u JTT matches will take place at Cary Tennis Park (Red ball courts or Stadium court).

Inclement Weather

During inclement weather, check the section titled Programs/Classes HERE for updates on your practice or match.

This page will be updated approximately 1 hour before practice or match time. Check this link frequently before heading to practice or matches. Make sure to refresh the page to ensure you are getting the latest update.

IMPORTANT: Check the weather update for your specific court location. Don’t assume if it’s raining at your house, that practice is canceled at your court.

Team Managers (10u, 12u, and 14/18u) 

  • Can you help support our JTT program as a Team Manager this season? Team Managers drastically increase the quality and efficiency of our JTT seasons.  These volunteers need no knowledge or experience in tennis to help out! 

  • Team Managers communicate with their teams, get match commitments, create line-ups from templates we supply, expedite matches on match days, and record scores. 

  • Learn more about volunteering as a Team Manager here. When registering your JTT participant, you will have the opportunity to indicate interest in volunteering as a Team Manager.

JTT Refund Policy

Refunds must be requested in writing. A full refund of all registration fees will be granted up until the first week of practices. Once the season has started, a player may request a refund minus a $25 administrative fee as long as the request occurs before the first scheduled match. After the date of the first scheduled match has passed, no refunds will be granted except for verified medical/hardship cases. Credits that remain inactive for one year will be donated to the PRCR’s Scholarship Fund.
