Winter 2025-26 Information
Junior Team Tennis (JTT) is a USTA junior league program that offers practice and match play. Players should be able to serve, rally, and keep score (except 8U). This program is not for brand-new players!
If you are a new player, please look up the Tots, Aces, Futures, Challengers, HS Prep, and Starter JTT classes on RecTrac.

All Winter Season matches will be played in the Covered Courts at Cary Tennis Park, which means they will be rain or shine.

8 and Under Division

Practices begin the week of December 2nd. There will be 8 practices.

Practice rain outs will be added to the end of the season.
10u, 12u, and 14/18u practices are 60 minutes and will be held at Annie Jones Park.
8u practices are 60 minutes and will be held at Cary Tennis Park.
Your child may only attend their registered practice day and time. No make ups or credits will be given for personal reasons.
Due to court limitations, practice spaces are limited. Only register your child for ONE practice time. Should space allow, we will email everyone if we have the space for players to register for a second practice.

During inclement weather, check the section titled Programs/Classes HERE for updates on your practice or match.
This page will be updated approximately 1 hour before practice or match time. Check this link frequently before heading to practice or matches. Make sure to refresh the page to ensure you are getting the latest update.
IMPORTANT: Check the weather update for your specific court location. Don’t assume if it’s raining at your house, that practice is canceled at your court.
Match Information
All Divisions

The season consists of six matches.

All matches will be played in the Covered Courts at Cary Tennis Park and will be rain or shine!

Match schedule will be posted on Tennislink around December 19. Around that same time, team assignments will be released online via email.

All participants are required to register for their team in TennisLink. Those who do not register will not be eligible to participate in matches.

Matches start January 9/10th and run through February 27/28.

No matches on January 16/17, Friday January 30, or Saturday February 14.

You may NOT request a specific match time.

Match attendance is expected. Players who do not attend matches regularly may be demoted to the Recreational division.
8u Divisions
- Matches are 60 minutes long and will be scheduled on Saturdays with a 2 p.m. or 3 p.m. start time.

Practices and matches use the 36 ft court, red low-compression ball, and racquets no longer than 23 inches.
10u, 12u, and 14/18u Divisions

All matches are 90 minutes long and will be held in the CTP Indoor Courts. Each 90 minutes is broken up into two rounds of 45 minutes. Players are only guaranteed to play one 45-minute round at each match. If needed you may be asked to play two rounds.

10u Matches will be scheduled on Saturdays at 8 am, 9:30 a.m., or 11 a.m.

12u Matches will be scheduled on Saturdays at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m., or 11 a.m.

14/18u Matches will be scheduled on Friday at 5:30 or 7 p.m. OR Saturdays at 12:30 or 2 p.m.
Team Managers (for 10u, 12u, and 14/18u)
Can you help support our JTT program as a Team Manager this season?
- Team Managers drastically increase the quality and efficiency of our JTT seasons. These volunteers need no knowledge or experience in tennis to help out!

Team Managers communicate with their teams, get match commitments, create line-ups from templates we supply, expedite matches on match days, and record scores.

Registration Links
The links below will take you to the RecTRac JTT Practice registration links directly. Please make sure to read all the above information before registering. You are registering for a specific JTT practice day and time!
Due to court limitations, practice space is limited. Only register your child for ONE practice time.
Registration opens at 9:00 am on October 30th.
USTA Membership
A USTA membership is required for JTT participation. All junior memberships are FREE! Family memberships do not apply to the free junior membership.
To participate in matches, you must be registered for your team on the USTA’s TennisLink site. TennisLink is also where you will find your team’s match dates, times, locations, opponents, and results.
JTT Refund Policy
Refunds must be requested in writing via email to jttsupport@carync.gov. A full refund of all registration fees will be granted up until the first week of practices. Once the season has started, a player may request a refund minus a $25 administrative fee as long as the request occurs before the first scheduled match. After the date of the first scheduled match has passed, no refunds will be granted except for verified medical/hardship cases. Credits that remain inactive for one year will be donated to the PRCR’s Scholarship Fund.
