NOTICE: On Saturday, May 16, Academy Street from Chapel Hill Road to the railroad tracks will be closed for Wheels on Academy. The Page-Walker will be open as normal, and can be accessed via East Durham Street and Cary Street.

A complete restoration in the 1990s converted the old Page-Walker Hotel into a living resource for the people of Cary. Today, the Page-Walker Arts & History Center is alive with classes, events, concerts, social gatherings, and historical and fine arts exhibitions.

Educational Programs

Subjects offered through the Page-Walker Arts & History Center include language arts, music, wellness, and, of course, history!  Visit RecTrac to search for upcoming programs. If you are interested in offering a course, camp, or other program at the Page-Walker, please complete a program proposal. 

Art Exhibitions

The Page-Walker presents art exhibitions in the first and second-floor galleries. The public is invited to view the works of talented regional artists on display during regular public hours. It is recommended that you call ahead, as these are multi-purpose spaces and may be in use for other activities.

The Town of Cary offers solo and group art exhibition opportunities at Page-Walker Arts & History Center and other facilities around town. Artists working in any medium are invited to submit an application at any time. Visit Art Galleries for more information and an application.  

History Displays

The Page-Walker features rotating historic displays in the lobby display case. Running through mid-August, Portrait of a Patriot: Nathaniel Jones of White Plains is part of the America250, celebration.

Facility Rental

The Page-Walker Arts & History Center is a perfect location for weddings, receptions, business meetings, and social gatherings. Hardwood floors, high ceilings, large windows, and fine art provide an elegant, intimate, and charming setting. The Page-Walker’s beautifully landscaped garden is a popular site for wedding ceremonies.

Special Events
