Rental Guidelines and Requirements
  • Capacity Limits: Rentals must not exceed posted capacity. The renter in responsible for managing guests.
  • Sound: Events at Sertoma must abide by the Town of Cary Noise Ordinance
  • Parking: Guests must abide by parking rules. Do not park on any grassy areas, on the side of the road or in the Boathouse parking lot (except for handicap accessibility). Parking by the ball fields should be used for overflow parking (these spots can be found by turning down the road on either side of the playground). For large events, renters need to provide volunteers to manage parking.
  • Electrical Details: Four outlets at front of stage, two behind stage; all are standard 120V. Customer should be advised to only plug one thing into each outlet else they risk overloading the breaker; do not run power strips. If an overload happens, it is not a quick fix. Public Works must be notified to come fix as they are the only ones who can get into breaker box; park staff cannot correct this. Prior to each rental needing electricity, a work order should be processed to ensure that power is working.
  • Food and Beverage: Food, beverage or other sales are prohibited. Renters may contract with food trucks to provide food service.
  • Ticket and Item Sales: Private ticket sales and collections of any type of funds for performances or uses of the amphitheatre are prohibited unless approved by Department Director or designee. No other vendors may provide and/or sell goods and/or services at without prior written approval from the Director or designee.
  • Public Access: The renter may not restrict access to the public facilities. This includes park trails and restrooms.
  • Load-in: Access to load-in equipment is limited. Renter will need to transport by hand.
