By submitting this form, I verify that I have read and agree to the following:

  • I am 18 years of age or older. Gardeners under the age of 18 may be part of a family or group rental but an adult must be the primary contact and contract signee.
  • I am a Cary resident and I am only submitting one interest form for my household. Plot rentals are open to Cary residents only and only one plot rental is permitted per household.
  • Garden bed rentals consist of one garden bed and cost $50 dollars for the Garden Year. The upcoming Garden Year runs from March 1, 2026 to January 31, 2027.
  • In order to insure fair and equal access to the Carpenter and McCrimmon Community Garden rental program, the Town will host a lottery system on or shortly after the interest form deadline of January 15, 2026. To enter into the lottery, interested participants must submit this web form application by January 15.
  • Gardeners will be notified via email if they have received a plot in the lottery shortly after January 15, 2026. After the gardeners are selected, we will create a waiting list with remaining applicants for the Garden Year in the event that spaces become available.
  • Selected gardeners are required to attend a garden orientation session. As part of this process, they will sign the 2026 Garden Agreement pertaining to community rules and guidelines and be issued a key code to gain round-the-clock access to the garden.

Please note that even if you do not receive a bed in this lottery, there are still many opportunities to participate in community gardening with the Town of Cary. We invite you to peruse opportunities on our website, visit carync.gov/gardens, or reach out to us directly via email.

Thank you for your interest!
