Panther Creek Greenway now extends from the Cary Park Lake Greenway east towards NC55. The east side of the trail connects up to Mills Park by going under the busy Green Level Church Road in a concrete pedestrian culvert. The trail then extends east, connecting to several neighborhoods, and goes under NC540 on a boardwalk. The trail continues east, connecting to Cameron Pond neighborhoods and then to the Neighborhood Park at Carpenter Fire Station Road.
