Since its opening in 2010, Mills Park School/Park represents a collaborative effort between the Wake County School System and the Town of Cary. The park features two multi-purpose athletic fields (one lighted), a lighted softball field, a lighted football and track stadium field, a lighted basketball slab, a picnic shelter with restrooms, and a Food Waste Drop-Off site.

NOTICE: Cary is soliciting qualifications to potentially develop Cricket Grounds at the park. If you have an interest, please contact CricketGround@carync.gov

Multipurpose Field 1/Track Open - First-come, first-served, unless reserved.

Softball Field Open - First-come, first-served, unless reserved
Playground Open - From 10/11 to 10/25, portions of the playground may be closed for the installation of a shade structure.

Park Hours

Because Mills Park School/Park is located on the campuses of Mills Park Middle and Elementary schools, hours of operation are limited to 5:30 p.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.-10 p.m. on the weekends.

All four fields can be rented and scheduled through the Town of Cary by calling 919-858-0464. School use and Town-scheduled use have priority over public walk-up play. Any organized play must be scheduled through the Town (see Sports Facility Use Policy).
