About Open Gym

Open Gym is time set aside in our facilities where students, families, and/or community members have a chance to play pick-up sports such as badminton, basketball, pickleball, or volleyball.

Current Sports Offered

• Adult and Family Badminton (Capacity: Center Dependent)
• Youth and Adult Basketball (Capacity: Center Dependent)
• Adult Volleyball (Capacity: Center Dependent)
• All Pickleball Sections are Age 13+ with exception of Family (5+)

*Beginner Pickleball play is designed for those who are new to the sport and looking for matches for those in the beginner skill level.
*All Levels Pickleball play is designed to allow all pickleball players the opportunity to socialize and work with players at all skill levels. From the beginning, the culture of pickleball has been to be welcoming and inclusive of players at all skill levels.
*Competitive Pickleball play is designed for those who want to play at a high level or play for the win. Here players will play to the top of their ability, making opponents pay for mistakes and putting players on the track to compete at higher skill levels.

Pass Holders

Passes are available for open gym play. Passes expire one year from the date of purchase.

If you are a returning pass holder, new to Cary, or a guest, please visit carync.gov/register to Login/join to update your waiver. This will save you time when you visit the community center.

Our goal is to create a fun and safe atmosphere for you and those around you. To do your part, please read and follow our Open Gym Rules.

Open Gym Fees

Below is our single-session drop-in rate for all Open Gym activities. Be sure to ask our staff about "Punch Passes" and how they can help save you money.
