2026 Registration Information

*Registration will continue through the last posted date of registration if spaces are available. Some leagues may fill up prior to the end of the registration period.

Fees: Cary Resident: $75 | Non-Cary Resident: $100

Season

The season runs from mid/late March through mid/late June. In March/April teams will practice approximately two times each week (one weeknight and one weekend). When games begin in mid April, teams will primarily play one to two games per week and practice once per week. Teams will practice and play games at various times and on various days of the week.

Schedules

Practice and game schedules will be posted on TeamSideline when available.

Baseball and Softball Leagues

Baseball: Age is determined as of April 30, 2026.
Softball: Age is determined as of April 30, 2026.

Players age 5-12 register by Zone.

Non Zoned Leagues

Central Zone

Central Zone fields include, but may not be limited to Annie Jones Park, Cary High School, Fred G. Bond Metro Park, Lions Park, and Lexie Lane Park.

Central zone participants may play at any or all of these locations.

5-6 T-Ball Central
7-8 Baseball Central (coach pitch)
9-10 Baseball Central (instructional player pitch) - Primary location Lions Park
11-12 Baseball Central (player pitch) - Primary location Lions Park

9-10 Girls Softball Central (instructional player pitch) - Primary location Bond Park
11-12 Girls Softball Central (player pitch) - Primary location Bond Park

South Zone

South Zone fields include, but may not be limited to, Ritter Park and Penny Road Elementary School.

South zone participants may play at any or all of these locations.

5-6 T-Ball South
7-8 Baseball South (coach pitch)
9-10 Baseball South (instructional player pitch) - Primary location Ritter Park
11-12 Baseball South (player pitch) - Primary location Ritter Park

9-10 Girls Softball South (instructional player pitch) - Primary location Penny Road Elem.
11-12 Girls Softball South (player pitch) - Primary location Penny Road Elem.

West Zone

West Zone fields include, but may not be limited to, Carpenter Fire Station Road Park, Davis Drive Middle School, Green Hope High School and Mills Park Middle School.

West zone teams may play at any or all of these locations.

*Fred G Bond Metro Park may be used as a secondary location for 11-12 Baseball.

Scholarship Fund

In Cary, we believe all citizens should have an equal opportunity to participate in recreation. Our scholarship fund allows residents to apply for reduced and/or no-fee Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources programs.

Practice/Game Locations

Spring Baseball/Softball Zone Map

Teams may practice/play at any or all of the the fields in their chosen zone. Teams may also have some games and practices in zones other than the one in which they are registered.

Inclement Weather Procedure

In case of inclement weather, a decision regarding games will be made by Sports staff. Information will be on the Town website. A recording will also be on the Weather Cancellation Line (919) 319-4500. Updates are made at 3 p.m. each weekday, 8 a.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. on Sunday. If a decision is made after these times, it will be made at the facility by the officials.

Volunteer Coaches

Cary relies on volunteer coaches for the organized youth sports leagues. Coaches must be available for weekly practice and games. Each coach is required to be certified by the National Youth Sports Coaches Association and to submit and pass a background check. It is important that coaches teach sportsmanship as well as specific sport skills. Please visit Volunteer Youth Coaching for more information.
