Media & Public Information

The Cary Police Department has always enjoyed a good working relationship with the community and local news networks, and we are always looking to improve these relationships.

Media & Public Information is managed by Sergeant Kenric Alexander, Public Information Officer (PIO) for the police department. The PIO is responsible for communication efforts between the department, community members and stakeholders, and media outlets both locally and nationally.

One of the many ways information is disseminated to the public is through social media platforms, as well as partnerships with traditional media outlets. In this way, we uphold our communication values to be open, responsive, progressive, and accessible while communicating with governance. More information can be found in the communications plan below.
